    Pulling to the right (long)

    My new '03 E55 has a chronic pull to the right problem which after 3 visits to the dealer (including swapping the oem Continentals for Pilots) has not been solved. On flat short distances (less than 150 ft) the steering wheel will turn 20-30 degrees to the right. On a California freeway it will track perfectly straight in the fast lane but pull signifcantly in either of the two right lanes. This Friday I have a date with the MBZ zone tech rep to get his opinion. My local alignment shop confirms the caster/camber is set perfectly and is right on spec. It is not possible to add more left hand bias without modifying other suspension components which I'm sure will void the MBZ warranty. He and I now suspect a power steering imbalance and will suggest they swap out the existing pump(s?) since there is apparently no adjustment. Has anyone here had the same experience and/or can offer me some advice??

    Been having exactly same problem on my 2002 CL55. Dealers suspected the tires, but I just knew that wasn't the case. Been waiting for a second opinion like yours. Thanks for posting and let me know how it's going.

    My friend has had the exact same problem with her E500. The car has been to the dealer at least 4 times with absolutely no resolution. Now they have taken to claiming that there is nothing wrong with the car. Anyone know the solution to this issue?

    Met with the regional MBZUSA guy at my dealer last Friday who called in the resident factory engineer who advised we should install new lower control arm pins (P/N 000-330-00-18) and realign slightly to the left. 2 hrs later I'm on my way home, going perfectly straight and after 6 wks, 4 visits and a new set of Michelin Pilots (no cost) I'm happy as can be. But...here is the strange part. My dealer had these pins (actually 5x1/2" bolts) in stock but as yet there has been no Service Bulletin on what to do with them. Even the regional guy didn't know, but to his credit he knew immediately what was wrong and guaranteed me he could get it fixed.
