    Price Hike 997TT ??????

For a few weeks now the USA Porsche price configurater has the full leather interior as an extra cost option of $3365, the metallic paint as an extra cost of $690 and the rear wiper as a $360 option. These were included in the base price when I bought my launch vehicle. Is this some problem with the configurator (not unknown) or is this real? Does anyone know? Thank you.

    Re: Price Hike 997TT ??????

Let me ask you question. Would those option prices stop you from buying an almost $150k car?

I'm sure it won't. Hence, Porsche makes a little bit more money, that's the whole marketing strategy behind Porsche.

    Re: Price Hike 997TT ??????

I think it is a problem with the configurator. I just ordered and the full leather and metallic paint are not extra.

Porsche announced the pricing strategy for Canada 3 months later than the US. The price for roughly the same car (base model) is 170,700.00 CDN...the currency at the time of announcing Canada's price point was roughly .90 of the US dollar. I expect porsche will have a good year...in my opinion, they deserve it . They market great cars.

    Re: Price Hike 997TT ??????

You guys down south need to pay more so us guys in Canada don't feel takin advatage of..:-)

    Re: Price Hike 997TT ??????

AK997TT is right. I asked the salesman at my dealership about the configurator and he told me that metallic paint and full leather are standard. The natural leathers (brown and gray) cost $1510. I think leather and paint are the only discrepancies.

    Re: Price Hike 997TT ??????

Oh, and the rear wiper IS a no cost option.

    Re: Price Hike 997TT ??????

They also have the sport chrono marked down to 980, there's no way in hell that porsche is gonna mark the price down on anything. I think they mixed up 997 S stuff in there.

    Re: Price Hike 997TT ??????

The configurater is not correct, leather and most colors are standard with the 997TT. The screw up was with the addition of the GT3 to the configurater. I am glad the IT people are not building the TT's !!!!!

    Re: Price Hike 997TT ??????

When the most profitable car company in the world can't get a car configurator (or a 3d configurator for the mac), it just shows you how little they are commited. You can throw in there no iPod hookup and no phone bluetooth integration. A shame. That Audi R8 is looking better everyday. Any chance for a cab version

    Re: Price Hike 997TT ??????

Agree - I thought the config was great when it first came out but now it's compromised because they're not updating it, both price wise and other exclusives that are now available.

The real comparison is how does the Canadian Dollar compare to the Euro. It is pretty well know that the cars are less expensive comparatively in the US.

Hmmm, the dogsled would technically be considered a cabriolet, no? Add a couple of extra pups and you have your "turbo" cab...
