New White Aston V12 Vantage with red/black lightweight seats

I had been debating long and hard recently over what to change my Meteorite Silver 2010 V12V for next year (when it became 3yrs old) as it is so close to perfect to me that I was genuinely struggling to think of anything else I wanted next. As production is now all but over the prospect of getting a new one next year was pretty much out of the window as I would not be prepared to pay RRP for one of the "spec to order" cars, which is pretty much how all the cars >1000 are going to be or so I understand. The closest I was getting to being enthusiastic about another car was a new 991 C2S, in white with Aerokit but even that wasn’t really lighting my fire as much as I hoped.

Anyway as a regular poster to an active Aston forum I saw mention about 4 weeks ago of a Morning Frost (pearl white) V12V with lightweight bucket seats in black with red inserts unregistered at my local dealer who is less than 5mins away!

Ever since I saw Mike S's Morning Frost V12 Vantage posted on this forum I was smitten and 2 years ago when I bought my first V12 Vantage I purchased a Meterotie Silver car which I got a great deal on and I have been very happy owner/driver since. However when I heard of this unregisted Morning Frost V12 Vantage sitting in my local dealer I knew this was my dream spec car and the idea of changing 10 mths early clicked into place. I did however have a couple of other really critical spec items to me beyond the colour and buckets seats and so the temptation to go have a look and check out the spec was too great for me and the next day I was in the showroom at 9:15am.

Much to my total surprise and delight the car had absolutely all my critical spec items and looked drop dead gorgeous too! I really couldn’t believe it and so I had to enquire about a theoretical cost to change. The initial figure was as usual a little off the mark but not that far off that a deal couldnt be done, and so by Monday morning the dealer had put together a revised and most agreeable cost to change and I smashed open the piggy bank and purchased the car! My most impulsive car purchase ever, but 3 weeks on I have zero regrets and the last V12 Vantage has actually proven to be the slowest depreciating car in both absolute cash and % value terms that I have owned for the last 8 years! Smiley

Here are a few pics from my collection day 3 weeks ago, which was a very memorable day despite the terrible weather. I still cant get over how beautiful it is and it certainly draws a huge amount of attention from everyone, far more than the dark silver car did but I think that is down to the fact the Carbon Fibre contrasts with the white, whereas it pretty much vanished into the dark silver. This makes the specialness of the V12 Vantage really stand out and turns lots of heads. Its all good attention I should add!

    Anyway, onto the pics...

Morning Frost looking pristine in the showroom :

Literally 1 min after we put the car outside the heavens opened, but I still managed to snap a couple of shots of the outgoing Meteroite V12 alongside the incoming Morning Frost V12.

Absolutely stunning. I can totally understand your excitement, the V12 Vantage is such a gorgeous car. Both colors are great, I personally even prefer the more innocent grey... indecision

I couldn´t quite understand why you decided to change, is it due to warranty reasons or has the car improved that much over the previous one?

Anyways, have a good time with it... something I am pretty sure of... and many joyful miles! kiss

Re: New White Aston V12 Vantage with red/black lightweight seats

    Cheers!

Yeah a bit of both, a few minor upgrades but nothing in itself reason to drive a change really. Main reasons were warrenty costs, and 2nd service was due that month so all costs due, and then saved by going back to a full 3yr warrenty.  I guess the big reason however was the colour - there just wasnt a discounted new Morning Frost White car around at the time 2yrs ago and I perhaps wouldnt have had wanted to stick my neck out with a riskier colour then anyway as it was the most I had ever spent on a vehicle and I was worried about heavy depreciation, having been burnt on my previous two 997 C2S's and the V8Vantage (to a lesser extent),  a fear which proved unfounded 2yrs down the line.  The first V12V held its value so well I can honestly say I would probably have lost more in absolute terms on an mid-high end BMW/Merc at half the cost over the same 2yr period. This was a key factor in making the decision to change early an easy one - I just hope this one does as well, but only time will tell I guess.

Re: New White Aston V12 Vantage with red/black lightweight seats

Congratulations Adam, It's beautiful looking car. I prefer the white as well, the only problem is you have to keep it clean.

I'm so glad JCT600 mount the number plate below the grill. I always think the official plate holder ruins the line of the car and makes it look goofy.

You appear to live in Yorkshire as well, so you have many fine roads to enjoy it on. Even if they're slightly wet at the moment.

    Happy Driving

100% for the 'morning frost.' Hadn't seen a V12 on the road yet, but one passed by as I was walking the other day, and it was a bright, crisp white - I assume the color you're referring to. It was stunning in form, color, and noise.

Really enjoying the bright white w/dark wheels look these days - RC, your Panamera loaner and intouch1's SLS/C63 combo may have started it for me...

Congratulations! We have twins smiley With the roadster version being available soon, was that not an option seeing that you upgraded in any event?

Haha, indeed Mike - I finally got to jump in one of your shoes.   Just one mind you - I cant afford a pair let alone the whole wardrobe yet! Smiley

The roadster is lovely, but with only 101 being made there seems to be no chance of a discount and there is substantial discounts to be had on dealer stock V12V Coupes if you are lucky enough to find one to suit your taste.  For me a coupe will always have the edge as a drivers car too.

Have you seen the press car - it is Morning Frost too!

    Adam,

Stunning Car, I've always been a huge fan of the V12 Vantage, the problem is in Lebanon they don't hold their value as much as ferrari's or porsche's.  Enjoy it in good health, but for me by far one of the most beautiful cars on the road !!!

Beautiful car. FWIW, white is a lot easier to keep clean than most other colors.

Re: New White Aston V12 Vantage with red/black lightweight seats

    what a beauty.

In 99% of the cases I'd go for dark gray, but the Vantage, and specially the V12V looks much better in white. The contrast with the carbon fiber really makes the details pop and give the car more character. Also that specific white has such great undertones, very deep and rich.
