My Christmas present to my 997S

    do u like them ?
Theese bolts are made in titanum/ergal ...are the same made for the Ferrari F430 /360 stradale on standard equipment.
Poggipolini is the best titanium worker in the word : they make items for Ferrari F1 team ,Ducati corse ,etc ....
the factory is 3 km from my home .....so I know them very well .
It seems that in the next tequipment program for 997 (maybe Gt3) theese bolts will be made from Poggipolini for Porsche AG .
I'm the first of the word ....or the universe

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

    ...look the difference

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

I use my chemist's "art" .....heheeh

    steel

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

    titanium

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

    That's so cool

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

Thats a cool touch! just don't tell the non-sportcar afficionados... they'll think your "nuts"

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

Nice lugs. Multiply that by 20 and you're saving 1/3 of a pound in unsprung weight. So with that in mind, I think I'll supersize that Quarter Pounder with Cheese Deluxe (A Royale with Cheese for those of you in France).

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

    Niiiiiiice!

    HEY: where's the _security_ bolt?

You can't use the original because it is too heavy now.

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

    Sergini,
Even if they would weigh 1/10th of a gram less, they would still be cool.
    -Joost-

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

You're just CRAZY, I knew that before but now it is official.

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

So, will they fit a 996?

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

Very nice. Top notch workmanship. How much do they cost?

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

    they are beautiful.
Are you saying we can order a set of lugs for a 430 from a ferrari dealer, and they will fit the 997 s ?

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

As a suggestion you should use an anti-seize lubricant on titanium when in contact with a dissimilar metal. Otherwise, very cool present for a very cool P-car

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

    Yes I'm crazy !!! ehehehe!!
I like performace ,carbon ,titanium and hight tech items .
the weight is similar (30% ,less tha a kg) ...but theese bolts are beautyful .
it's impossible mounting the security bolt ,but here ,in my city ,It's easier take off all the car ...teafs prefers cars not rims or radios ....(i hope!!)

theese bolts are made for Porsche AG (prototype use) : next hear maybe they will be sold in official Porsche dealers ....
    they fit in : Gt3,Gt2,997 ,996 Turbo maybe ...

Ferrari stradale/430 only with carbon brakes are similar but not the same: U can buy tham now in ferrari dealers in all over the word
    see the picture :

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

I think that this is a not commercial Forum ,so I can't say more reguarding prices ,informations about the factory etc ...witout BOSS permission !!
but iternet is a very good source ...;-)
here in Emilia Romagna (Bologna,Modena) there are a lot af manifacures ....like B?C filters and others ...I'm lucky I know ....

There's materials technology being developed which will produce a "rope" hundreds of miles long which will be attached to a geostationary satellite so stuff can climb itself into space.

The only thing that has been stopping this is up to this point no known material can support it's own weight being hundreds of miles long.

Gonna be AMAZING stuff like this happening all the time in, what, 20 50 years? Too bad we'll be too old to drive: Porsches with 500 hp and weighing 200 kgs!

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

    Sergini..go to a Doctor...but a good one!!

    ciaoo

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

Titanium bolt's threads may gall to the hub . Adding anti-seize to prevent that means you can't torque/stretch the threads enough to hold spec and will loosen easily .

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

Sergini.... you forgot to tell everybody that someone...(me) had to help you with something...!!!!ha ha ha

really cool stuff!! I will do my self the same gift... when we was there togheter yesterday I understod how crazy we are all togheter......

Re: My Christmas present to my 997S

Yes Carlos ,Valentino is my Doctor .....
Do U know that he owns black Gt3 mk2?
