Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

See red TT with side door panels in body color. I took this on our Opus 911 tour last week in Austria. I like the look.

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

yes it looks great ,makes the car look lower and more aggressive.

painting the front and rear valences completes the look.

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

I would agree... great pic, thanks

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

I don't think the front is painted???

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

No, but it would compliment the painted side panels.

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

I would't get the side skirt painted option unless I was going to paint both front and rear plastic bits, otherwise it looks strange imo.

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

    yes it does

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

IMHO car looks better without the bottom painted, cheaper too...

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

The black is what looks cheap...

Painted is definitely better. (or get a black car)

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

good luck with that steering wheel...

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

What is the option price for painting the side sills? I like the look.

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

Hey Wonderbar, were you on the same tour opus whatever as our other member atomic?

LOL... I didn't even notice that. Not a very good option.

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

Looks bad, side panels are painted, but in front you can see it's black ?!?

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

another vote for painted all the way around , why do the sides and not the rest of the car what is with the silver steering wheel ?

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

I like it. But I'd leave the front bumper unpaint. Like the GT3. On thee other hand, I'd paint the rear bumper too, just to see the 3rd hole of the grill. (if you know what I mean...)

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

I think it looks okay w/ just the skirts painted and not the front and back. Looks a little beter than stock anyway. On a black car wouldn't be worth it and no matter what would have to cover it w/ 3M body armour otherwise they'll be wrecked.

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

here it is with front and rear painted by pshop

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

Wow that looks much better. Thanks for the P shop.

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

I think I was on the tour just before his session. We drove out of St. Wolfgang Austria for two days--May 31 and June 1. I think Atomic started on June 2.

Porsche Travel Club does a fantastic job. We drove aggressively (over 160 mph on the autobahn, for example) but were always led by an experienced driver with whom we were always in radio contact). The accommodations were excellent, the food was terrific, and the driving participants were real enthusiasts. (BTW Joost, I am the owner of that white Carrera S I sent you photos of. I will be ordering a TT in December--right now I am favoring white with ocean blue interior and perhaps ocean blue rims to match)...

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

That will definitely be a unique color combination. I will be curious to see how it looks.

Complement and compliment (and the related words complementary and complimentary) are frequently confused. Although pronounced alike, they have quite different meanings. As a verb, complement means 'add to (something) in a way that completes, enhances, or improves,' as in: Janet's new necklace complemented her pearl earrings nicely. Compliment means 'admire and praise (someone) for something,' as in | they complimented Janet on her new necklace. Complementary means 'forming a complement or addition, completing,' as in | I purchased a suit with a complementary tie and handkerchief. This can be confused with complimentary, for which one sense is 'given freely, as a courtesy': | you must pay for the suit, but the tie and handkerchief are complimentary.

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

nice work, Icon - I never understood why the black trim was standard. So many people like the look of lowered 911's, and the black trim makes the car look higer of the pavement. Plus the painted trim makes the car look more bulky.

Any one know how much painting the front and back pieces would run??

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

Black trim is standard because of the beating that front lip takes and the susceptibility of the side trim peices to rock chips.

I'm planning to leave mine alone for this reason. Rock chips suck.

Re: Red TT with Lower Panels Painted

Another reason for the black trim is it reduces the visual height of the car and makes it apear longer and slimer.
