    Today we left from our swanky hotel that I couldn't afford (Chedi at Andermatt - btw, anyone from the board there with 991RS Clusport in Lava Orange?) and went over Furka and Grimsel passes on way to very top of a rocky goat trail to fly model gliders (car has been a trooper).

    I still remember the night I spent in a hotel on my first visit to Andermatt in my misspent youth. It wasn't anything like the Chedi. A bed in the army barracks outside town would probably have been more comfortable. Happy days!  Smiley

    Like my RS ? No it wasn't me . Today I  only did a small pass in the Lake Geneva area , after 5 full days without touching the car.  

    I hope you got some open road without traffic ( the dutch or belgium tourist are the worst , with the Swiss who have  BE licence plates Smiley )

    Awesome!!! I was there just three weeks ago, Chedi is very nice but also veeeery expensive. Love the Trio Furka, Grimsel, Susten, just perfect indecision

    Yes, spent all my money at the Chedi, so tonight we are staying at a dormitory in Hahnenmoos (shared bathroom for the whole floor).  Brought a small glider to fly...

    Glad you got to drive those roads - it's a loop we do on the bikes from time to time - lovely scenery.  Not sure what your plans are but the Lukmanier pass down towards Ticino is nice, and usually deserted.

    I drove Furka on Friday.  It was a bit wet, so I was glad to be in a Quattro Audi, but am jealous you were able to do European delivery.  How did the MPSC2s cope in freezing weather near the top?

    I got the Dunlops.  I have had to master the double-clutch down shift into 1st gear on the slow uphill switchbacks (manual blip in neutral and then auto rev match going into gear).  Works beautifully and can definitely spin the Dunlops if not gentle on the throttle in the wet/cold.  I was planning to do the same in Colorado and I'm happy for a successful preview.  Gas pedal a little low for heel/toe on the street though.

    Tonight the poor car is sleeping outside at near freezing temps - hopefully the tires will have some stick left at Spa next week...

    The Xcar reviewer seems to think that the sport button changes the steering and throttle mapping, which it absolutely does not.

    Swiss automobile revue have tested the GT4 and the GT3 RS . 

    Here are the datas in  real life for the GT4 :

    Official weight : 1340kg                                                         Measured weight ( with PCCB ) : 1400 kg , full tank 

    Official 0-100 km/h : 4.4s                                                       Measured : 5.0 s   ( air temp 20 degrees )

    Weight/power  : 3.6 kg / HP

    official  consumption mixte  10.3 l/100km                               Measured : 13.6 l/100

    In that magasine ( a very serious and respected since 1906 , first car revue in Europe )  it is extremely rare that the test 0- 100 km/h matches the official numbers .

    They  test the cars  in normal conditions . No special grippy tarmac, no light weight driver, no empty fuel tank etc.... 

    I agree that is a big difference, and I wonder why ....   Maybe the 60 kg difference from the official weight ?

    GT4 fun is not only about power or acceleration times, manual gearbox does not help either compared to PDK regarding acceleration from standstill.

    I think it is all down to the launch. If you don't drop the clutch like PDK "launch control" I don't think you will achieve the official time with the GT4. It is like accelerating a PDK car without launch control, there is quite a difference too, but most people stare themselves blind on the launch control figure which is rarely used in real life.

    From personal experience, my GT4 feels a tad faster to 100km/h than my C4S, but this could also be down to the car providing more feedback and a greater sensory experience.

    Not that it matters indecision
