Re: Porsche GT3 & Ferarri La Ferarri terrorization a neighborhood

Good riddance to this guy.  He can run over some innocent, helpless child in another country now...

Unfortunately, there are plenty more fools like this throughout the US and the world as a whole.  They may not drive exclusive sports cars and piss off wealthy communities, but this is an almost everyday occurrence in some neighborhoods.  It's such a shame because people, even kids, get hurt.

If you, like me, have gotten carried away and lost your judgement behind the wheel in the past, please give better thought to it in the future.  Lives are at stake out there.  Once they are taken away, they cannot be returned.

BTW ..a bit embarrassing for  Ferrari , for its " greatest motor in the greatest supercar in the history of the world " to have smoke billowing from engine compartment after a few generic part/ WOTs speed runs of no more than probably 60-80 mph on neighborhood streets  that any pimple faced teen's modified junker could easily handle

Yes, shocking. I believe this is a proper noun and hence should start with a capital C. Further I would argue it should be two l and not one.

Don't think Ferrari cares who buys their cars as long as flippers doesn't get one.

Ferrari knows he and his family will never flip, so they sell them 5. How they drive them is none of Ferrari's concern.

In the mean time, me who really wants one doesn't get one...............................

Oh they will also sell to collectors who hide them away in a garage for 20 years before flipping them.

And I still doesn't get one.........................

Sorry about that. If Ferrari cares so much about reputation and their cars, they should clearly sell you one and take one away from other customers who do not "deserve" one. Not going to happen though.

Stupid question: If you badly want one and you can afford it, just pay the premium and be done with it. I know this sounds stupid (I hate paying premiums for anything) but if I would badly want something and it wouldn't hurt me financially, well... Smiley

Yes I could have bought one at market price, but it will be at someone else's spec, not mine.

I apologize  ....but just ask my friends who live in Beverly Hills and London year round what they think about crossing or jogging , much less driving , usually quiet leafy residential neighborhood streets certain times of the year ...especially August .....see that GT3 blowing through the stop sign past the mere multi- millionaire plebes ....with what looks like  private foreign occupying- army protective detail riding behind to protect them ? How would you and your admittely very conservative  neighbors feel if that happened in your neck of the woods at the same time every year ?

Re: Porsche GT3 & Ferarri La Ferarri terrorization a neighborhood

I get it but the police can do more about it than they realize, even if these guys have diplomatic immunity (which in this case, they didn't have). I wonder how this guy got away with saying he is a diplomat and then, he wasn't. Did the police just believe his words? I doubt it. Something sounds fishy here.

I rather suspect that State Department told the Qatar government that this guy is not welcomed anymore in the US, so he had to leave while he still had diplomatic immunity (the diplomatic immunity cannot be revoked by the US government but only by the "issuing" government).

Telling people "f.ck America" while he lives in Beverly Hills is more than a diplomatic incident, this is an outrageous behavior. I wonder why he was in the US in the first place. yes

As to London, I think that the British make a huge mistake by not making the "new arrivals" understand what bothers them (the British people). Why not make some sort of TV spot or YouTube spot, explaining to the foreigners the rules and how rude and disrespectful their behavior is. Respect and is one of the main rules of Middle Eastern society, so maybe the new guests understand that.

These malcontents have even invaded Chicago, adding to the other sociopaths, racing up and down the streets of the nicer neighborhoods.  Nothing is done about the racing and the increased noise levels as the police in Chicago are more concerned about free food, text messages and their pensions than in enforcing the law.  Furthermore, the police, and in many other parts of the Country, have stopped enforcing the laws for fear of repercussions as highlighted by several high-profile incidents in Missouri and New York.

These types of behaviors are the ones that lead to our new and very tough + controversial , speeding  law . The one that can send you to prison for one year, takes your driver licence away for two years , confiscates the car etc.....

UK (London) have much more serious problems with permanent immigrants (like rest of the EU too) and they do nothing about that. Do you really think they will do something against rich guys coming for few weeks in London to spend tons of money & drive their expensive cars?

What should they really do against refugees (we should discern between immigrants and refugees)? What options do they have? Only Hungary seems to be willing to throw away the UN charter and EU agreements. Smiley

Back to topic: If the British do not want to offend these people (rich Arabs or Russians), why bother feeling annoyed by them? Smiley Smiley

Also, truth to be told: I really do not understand why they are coming to London. A friend of mine just spent months in London, she works for Amazon and she is happy she isn't in London anymore. The weather wasn't too nice (for her taste), people were so and so (most friendly people were actually her colleagues there and only the ones from the US!) and the city is expensive and crowded. She is happy to be back in Germany but will have to travel to Italy soon for a longer period of time (she loves Italy).

If I had money, I would go to Miami, maybe even somewhere in Spain (Marbella) or to Cote d'Azur but I don't get London. At all. Smiley The weather is, besides my family, one of the most important things in my life. I wouldn't want to compromise on that if I could choose where to live.

Re: Porsche GT3 & Ferarri La Ferarri terrorization a neighborhood

Refugees and permanent immigrants are connected problems.

EU was very passive for past two decades in solving problem with immigrants. They were receiving even more immigrants while knowing that people they already have in country failed to integrate into existing society. With latest huge migration from MI, Europe will recieve millions of immigrants. After that action, rich ones will come to Europe to take places on some positions (guess what system will be used to get to some positions). After that you will much have more guys who are smiling at EU city residents and their police, because you will have loads of immigrants + their relatives on some nice positions

When it comes to London, you must take a look on wider perspective. I didnt mentioned immigration problems for no reason. Those rich guys who are coming during summer feel like home in London, they have a lot of friends and relatives there + money to buy who is necessary to keep them there safe & satisfied. Also every one of them have multiple properties in London too. Those guys are rich like hell and their only job in their life is to travel all over the World through whole year, and one station is London where they all meet up during summer.

IMO it is too late for UK (and EU too) for some civilized actions and stuff to prevent burning problems that are connected to immigrants. EU will be huge immigrant facility in coming decades because of catastrophic political decisions (ignoring problems too).

P.S. You saw what guy from Qatar said few weeks ago when he was asked why is he driving his LaF on Beverly Hills so aggressively angry. Whole Europe must be ready to face that kind of behaviour in coming decades. Why? Because whole West (EU too of course) is based on values that are determined by money, and some guys realized to use that fact as best asset for making some changes in EU.

In Germany, not very likely because the police is not really caring about who is driving the car(s). We had similar cases and they were gone (out of Germany) pretty fast because the police "harassed" them so long that they finally gave up and left. It was no fun anymore for them. Smiley This even included one of Gaddafi's sons who studied in Munich.

Re: Porsche GT3 & Ferarri La Ferarri terrorization a neighborhood

Maybe the Beverly Hills Middle East community should do something about it, invite neighbors to get to know them better but this isn't part of their mentality and they actually enjoy the privacy in Beverly Hills. Those morons who did what they did with their cars didn't really seem to care about privacy.
