Peter, congrats...yours looks like a spitting image of my GT3 RS, almost identical color combo...but I am seriously considering having it wrapped, the slate grey picture a few posts back looked really stunning!

olli, i'd think twice before getting it wrapped...mine will get decals:::))) not very aggressive ones though.

Peter, what is your concern about wrapping?

when you open the doors you see it...usually looks very aftermarket in certain situations.

    Re: 991 GT3 RS

I finally collected my GT3 RS in Zuffenhausen last week. At the delivery of the car, I asked the Porsche guy about the rubbing issue and if it got finally fixed. His answer was: "We have changed a couple of things like spring calibration, it should be better but not excluded that you still face the issue on track"...

I would like to understand if Porsche has increased the height of the car. I have exactly 10.5 cm to the bottom of the front spolier in black plastic (production early February 2016).

What height has/had your car as factory setting and when was it produced? Many thanks for your input!

somehow it is hard to discard the feeling that porsche was a bit too ambitious with the GT3 engine and the GT3 RS setup. i do not understand how the RS passed the TÜV (german road homologation) when the tires can rub in the wheel arches and squeeze the indicator lights out of their places...porsche should have probably ygone with 20 inch wheels forsaking that last 'ounce' of traction.

For me that only happens during hard compression. Like doing 220+ km/h in the dip before Schwedenkreutz at Nurburgring.

I do not know how TÜV work but I think it is difficult for them to find that problem.
On the other hand Porsche must have known about it.

    Peter,

what you are describing it doesn´t happen during street driving. As I have heard only by pushing hard on track.

My car was produced in July/August .  At the front , in the middle of the car , I have 14 cm to the lowest part of the black lip . On the side, closest to the wheel I have 15 cm .......  But I just realize I must of have the front lift up Smiley Smiley

Does the lift stay up when the car is standing still, I thought it would lower itself automatically?

@ Porker . Yes, it stays up . Mine has since the end of November  . Today when I wanted to put it down, it did not work...... until I found out I had to close the door in order for it to lower gain .

@ GoHardGT3RS : It looks like in order to solve the touching problem they have even lowered to car more, as mine is 11.5 cm in the middle of the front lip, and 12.5 cm by the side near the wheel  smiley

Maybe it comes from the fact that my car was raised the whole winter yes

@bluelines : I paid enough for the lifter and sacrificed some weight , so to get an RS that turn into a Cayenne when needed. Best of both worlds . Specially if I start driving it on the beach and dirt roads like SUN does indecision  And it is so much fun , I bet your GT4 can't match that smiley

You'll probably have to drive it a little before it settles to it's normal ride height after it has been "jacked up".

i just realized from the pictures of my car which i took yesterday that the two body panels which meet at the rear fender do not fit together well (see attached pic). could the RS owners here please check their car and let me know whether it is the same? is this normal or should i complain?L1008046.jpg

they also managed to fit "Boxster" kickplate on 1 side and "Boxster S" on the other side!
