    Re: Beware dealer visits

Looks great with the window tint on !

    Re: Beware dealer visits

Thanks Enmanuel! Yep the dark windows go perfectly with the black glass roof. I had not really considered the sunroof option beforehand but I love it. With the inside cover retracted, it makes the car feel very light and spacious. I am surprised at how much attention the car has attracted. The black and white with black sport techno wheels really shows the design off. My daughter is away but her response to the photo was "holy shiz balls, that's one badass car" !!! It seems to appeal to my late teen darling.

I have the new car grin from ear to ear, and keep finding excuses to run errands for SWMBO. I find it sublime to drive. Keeping the revs under 5500 was the recommendation for the first 3000 km. Thats going to be hard. I find that the car is happy to drive at any revs in any gear. I feel much less inclined to change up compared to the Aston. Everything feels tight and instantly responsive, and with a perfect sense of balance.

The PDK is my first non manual Porsche. I like it in all its guises, gently cruising in traffic, in auto mode with "sports" and in manual mode both from the transmission shifter and from the paddles. The only thing I don't like is the auto start/stop which to me does not belong in a 911.

    Re: Beware dealer visits

You can have the start/stop disabled by the dealer.

or hit sport button then it's off as well

    Re: Beware dealer visits

Does anyone know what are the shift times in sport plus vs sport, and is there any difference in auto mode vs manual?  If driving in manual mode, is there any advantage to be in sport plus mode over sport mode?

I have searched but cannot find specifics on this.

Auto mode is always faster than manual and shift times are only a bit faster with Sport Plus (vs. Sport) but unfortunately I don't have any details at hand. If you want to be as fast as possible, you want always to be in Sport Plus mode (no matter if auto or manual). I would leave the PSM button untouched, even on the track. For most people leaving PSM turned on works best and is safer.

    Re: Beware dealer visits

no thought of turning PSM off although I did do so under supervision at the Porsche driving school on slippery road conditions a few years ago - that was very instructive!!!!
