    Metal or Plastic Tire Stem Caps?

    Why does the 997 Owner's Manual say to use plastic tire stem caps? The metal ones are certainly more attractive.

    I know the metal ones interfere with the TPMS system.

    Depending on the cap, I've seen metal caps that were so heavy and substantial, that you would ASSUME that it would adversely affect wheel balance...

    If you're going to get the decorative caps then go for the ones that just spin unless you use the tool. Kids steal them. We caught this l'il bastard in action at a local car show

    Where's the shot of him re-installing the valvestem cap whilst being suspended in mid air by his belt buckle loop and the back of his T-shirt collar???
