. I think the SV uses exactly the same seat as the Performante. I would certainly not choose them if looking to use the car on the road.

Indeed it does. I like the seat, but I know I am in the minority . Its perfectly comfortable for up to 2 hours or so.

Re: Huracán Performante in "6.52 something" at the Ring?

Bucket seats are a circa £6k option on normal Huracans, standard on Performante .. seems a shame to 'throw away' the free option

The US, 2 hours could just be a few errands and lunch ;)

Lamborghini lease offers suck and I do not buy cars...although I could make an exception on the Performante (but only if Apple hits 200 this year Smiley).

Re: Huracán Performante in "6.52 something" at the Ring?

I had confirmation this week that Lamborghini is not able to offer any solutions to fit a 4 or 6-point harness in the Performante mail.

How can Lamborghini develop a track-focused car with a claim about the record lsptime on the Ring and not offer such an important and must-have safety feature for trackdays?!?

This proves to me that Lamborghini is not a credible track car manufacturer. Every GT model from Porsche offers the possibility of a clubsport pack with 6-point harness.

Really disappointing from such a great car with certainly one of the best engines of the moment.

wanted this car but I will stay with Porsche.

Eh, they know 0.1% of cars will end up on the track, so they don't care. I think there are a lot of cars that don't come with that option.

Re: Huracán Performante in "6.52 something" at the Ring?

At least 2 potential buyers lost for Lambo because of not offering a 4 or 6 point harness: me and my trackday buddy.

Just look how many Porsche GT3 (RS) with racing harness (clubsport pack in Europe) take part in trackdays...

If Lambo would be serious about entering the trackday freaks as a target group (they should based on the innovation and positioning of this car), they would care.

Yeah, but you'll buy a higher margin Porsche product most likely, so sounds like they'd be OK with you skipping the Performante...

While I agree that this is weird, I kind of have my doubts that many Performante will see a track often. Smiley

Over time, Lamborghini might offer a solution though.

Yes, the engine is a treat. Just literally killed a Jaguar F-Type SVR last weekend on the Autobahn. Up to a point where the driver (he is a friend of one of my driving buddies) actually believed I tuned my car. Smiley The 7000-8500 rpm range made all the performance difference, was quite amazing. I have to admit however that the F-Type SVR sounds very sweet at full throttle. Smiley

I get your desire for a 6-point harness but what happens when you drive home in the car? Or do you keep it for trackdays only and/or drive it to the track on a trailer?

6-point harnesses are usually not street legal.

Aren't there some aftermarket solutions available?

Re: Huracán Performante in "6.52 something" at the Ring?

If you drive your 6 point harness on public roads, you are in big trouble in Germany. No insurance coverage if something happens. Car insurances over here started to be real asses. My R8 insurance paid 170 EUR less for the windshield replacement because they said my Audi dealer was too expensive. The Audi dealer used the official calculations for the windshield and labor, nothing special or more expensive. I am too busy to start fighting with my insurance over 170 EUR  (2000 EUR bill) but it is annoying.

You did not read my post properly . I said I have a 6 point harness AND a seat belt . In Switzerland it is also forbidden to drive with the harness . I do NOT drive with the harness on public roads . I use the SEAT BELT .  Porsche made the seats in such a way that you can store easily the harness when you do not use it . It goes trough the bottom of the seat . You do not have it in the way .

Sorry, I misunderstood you. I know a couple of GT3 guys who drive around with the 6 point harness because they are too lazy to switch (or they just don't care...). Thought you do the same but I should have known better. Sorry. Smiley

Re: Huracán Performante in "6.52 something" at the Ring?

Porsche customers in the US have been in this boat for years. No clubsport package with bar and six point belts. But it's easy enough to add yourself.  No doubt a competent race shop can add a harness bar and belts.
