My heart is telling me Bianco Avus and my brain is telling me Rosso Corsa

I hv to sign off before end of the week for Jan production 2011 for my California. The dealer said "last chance... to give up up California quota for the 458... which is now around 2014..."... guys as you all know, I sold my 4s and now have a jeep. I am only planning to keep a Ferrari more and 4 years time? I am not so sure...  he said within the 4 years, there will be original depositers backing out or changing minds... I may have a chance to get it 1 year earlier or more... but I have to just sit tight...  It is unlikely to come next year so we are looking at end of 2012/13...

They are worlds apart... but... this is just a dilemma. Saw one LHD today in Rosso Corsa it looks distinct but it is spine shattling style and ostentatious... the california by comparison is much more friendly and less in your face.

Finally, if I finalize the spec, I am steering more towards Rosso Corsa now... just unsure about a Bianco Avus GT Ferrari as it is risky in case I grow out of it but I saw many Panameras and Cayennes in White as well as 911 so the trend is here to stay. Black Porsches look a bit dated now... for some reason.

My final spec would be :

Rosso Corsa with Black Leather, Yellow Stitchings and Yellow Seatbelts (more sporty...) or
Rosso Corsa with Black Leather, Red Stitchings and Black Belts

or Bianco Avus with Black Leather, Yellow Stitchings and Yellow Seatbelts...

My heart is telling me White but my brain logic is saying Rosso Corsa (scuderia is too racy for this car to me...)

    Help needed and inputs needed

Re: My heart is telling me Bianco Avus and my brain is telling me Rosso Corsa

I'd go for the white, it looks fantastic in the Cali and its a lot less shouty than red. your combo with the white sounds great, also go for scuderia shields and yellow calipers and yellow tachometer. it will be perfect.

Re: My heart is telling me Bianco Avus and my brain is telling me Rosso Corsa

+1 for white. White is here to stay for sport cars! Will look great on the Cali.

Re: My heart is telling me Bianco Avus and my brain is telling me Rosso Corsa

I see a rosso corsa/cuio California almost everyday, it is gorgeous.

Re: My heart is telling me Bianco Avus and my brain is telling me Rosso Corsa

If you go with red, get the tan interior.

1/2 and 1/2, 2 Rosso Corsa V 2 Bianco Avus, can't go wront with either.

Just got a message from my dealer, no chance before 2012 but I was INFORMED that I could pay a 6-8% premium for one earlier... hint hint hint... he probably has the allocation and in some way he will get the premium and split it with someone... well well well... c'est la vie. Few are lucky enough to get MSRP like a Rolex Daytona around here... always priced > msrp

can't wait that long... too many uncertainties and changes in priorities for 2-3 years... I am sure i can get one maybe 2012 but I will end up paying some $$$ to the dealer.

You should have seen Iain's Cali before your order.

His car has the best color combo, IMO.

Re: My heart is telling me Bianco Avus and my brain is telling me Rosso Corsa

white is the new black, hence my vote for white....then again, i am having a white phase with everything i have been toying with being white...so i might be biased

not being  ferrari guy side, i think red ferrari's are just tacky. too cliche....boring in fact.

so i would go for any colour, silver, black, brown even but not red.

white looks good on almost all cars and in dry environments it's a very easy colour to maintain.

Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... That's what gets you.

Re: My heart is telling me Bianco Avus and my brain is telling me Rosso Corsa

    Here is a blue (maybe midnight blue) one, lots of nice colors, but have you considered an AM V12V , same price range;

Re: My heart is telling me Bianco Avus and my brain is telling me Rosso Corsa

I know... white is a trend my dealer told me and the trend is starting and staying so far... (trend comes and goes... it works well on a 911... but a Ferrari... I am not sure if it's ok to live with it for more than a while... cos I would beat myself in the head after ordering it and hating the colour after 2 weeks). White is easy ok to take care of as there will be no swirlmarks but is Rosso Corsa an easy colour to maintain?

Re: My heart is telling me Bianco Avus and my brain is telling me Rosso Corsa

Coming from the Porsche Stuttgart the hardy, the next logical step with a rich brand history and legacy would be Ferrari. Furthermore, in my country, Aston sells like 10 cars a year... and good luck if you want to sell it... they don't sell (911 sells like hotcakes and Ferraris stand up well against depreciation)... second hand market loses 50% and same with AUDI R8... it's just market specific. However, the California makes the Aston V12 looks dated... inside and out? that's just me.
