    997 not camouflaged pics

    Hi,

i've found two pics of an not camouflaged 997.The pictures are not the best, but you can see that's the real thing.

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

    2nd

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

wow. what does the article say? thanks

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

nothing special only that it comes out in 2004 and that it gets a wider body than the 996.

I like the style of the 997,it looks more aggressive and more porsche like, but if they don't increase the power to 345hp i stay with my 996.

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

Hmm, im a bit skeptical about those pics???

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

Thanks for the pictures. If this is the real thing it looks very nice indeed.

    Thanks again for posting them

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

    looks really nice!

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

Me too, but time will tell, very soon now.
But I think that despite the realism of those pics, they are photoshopped.
I still don't think the lights will be that round, they'll be rounder for sure. IMHO of course.
    Fanch.

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

I guess it looks so much like the 993 that I am somewhat shocked. Don't get me wrong I love the 993 as a matter of fact I want one, but I can't fit.

I think the 997 will look really good once factory photos are released. The above pic I have seen before and on first sight I thought it was shopped, but I guess not?

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

    @Fanch

these pics are not photoshopped. You can see it very well if a car is shopped but this one is REAL.

    bye,

    Wrek

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

Well there are plenty of photo shops out there that are very well done and look real.

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

holy cow that really good looking!

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

They look like the same car (note Lic. plate) it could be that it has been edited but who knows.

    Looking good thoug

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

Now, I know for sure that the bottom photo is indeed a shop. Look at the Porsche crest on the hood. It doesn't match up with the lighting on the car. Besides I don't think I have ever seen a Porsche prototype with the crest on the hood. They did really good on that one.

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

    Wrek,
I hope you're wrong, not because I want you to be wrong, but because I think that even though that car looks nice, I think that Porsche can do better than that.
I personally still think they are shopped thought
Cf Ron's post with the licence plate clue.
Thanks a lot for posting them though man, very interesting.
    Fanch.

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

I have to disappoint you, the car on the pictures is still heavily camouflaged.
It definetely does not show the 997 design.

BTW: the pictures are actually pretty old.

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

These are photoshoped pics, the front wood would never have that front shape, it will be more rounded, it even looks like it has a bra on the front.

    Thanks for sharing the pics.

If it really ends up looking like this...

sign me up for a turbo.

this is much better than I had anticipated... very nice

The upper picture from Ron's(!) post is not photoshopped, it shows a camouflaged 997. The lower picture from the same post (magazine) is photoshopped, it is actually a mule pic photoshopped to what the author thinks the 997 will look alike.

I try to give you a little hint, guys: the front lights are a bit larger (classic shape but not really round) and the rear lights reach around the edges and are longer and a little bit higher than the rear lights from the 996.
The exterior changes won't be as dramatic as the changes from the 993 to 996 but the 997 looks very nice and very refined. Everything seems to be right now, no more experiments. The interior is slightly different too but not as much as I'd have wished to be. You can't have it all I guess.

    Typical Porsche

I bet they even sent those pics themselves, let what seems to be a mule out and about for media to get a "first look" meanwhile the real things is being worked on closed doors.

Porsche loves teaser photos, they think is a great marketing tool.

Yes, that picture came out many months ago. I saw it in Automobile magazine....I tore it out and kept it of'course

    Re: 997 not camouflaged pics

now, wait about the new 997. these pics are far away from the original!!! there are a lot of paper and stripes on it!!! dont believe the magazines!!
