    Suspension fro 996 GT2 MK1

    Yes, it is a time to start playing with my GT2 MK1 and the first thing to do will be to change the suspension.
    I do not use this car on the track (maybe one or two times per year) so I need solution for the street.
    What will be the best choice?

    If it's for mainly street-use why don't you just stick to stock suspension?

    I think stock one is nice for roadk use.
    Harder ones will be definitely too stiff.
    Why do you want to change suspension if i can ask?

    BTW, unles you drive like Schumi, stock suspension and springs on these cars will be just fine for a few track-days a year as well .

    The main reason is my GT3, is ti much more stable than GT2 and I want than kind of feeling.

    What kind of suspension do you have installed on your GT3?

    Normal GT3 Porsche suspension

    According to the specs on your GT3, it has only 10Hp less than your GT2. Being the GT3 lighter than the GT2 it should be faster in straight roads than the GT2, but I really doubt that. Can you confirm my assumptions?

    Although Mk 2 GT2's had an improved suspension the problem you describe can be solved without buying a new suspension. New solid rod links on the rear suspension arms and most of all a fast road wheel alignemnt would do wonders eliminating the wallowing feeling which was dialed in by Porsche engineers on purpose (to make it safer). You've got 2 options buy the rod links from S-Car-Go and do the Kussumaul alignment or you can contact THE Porsche tuning company when it comes to set up, Manthey Motors, describe your problem and be specific about road use and keeping the OEM struts otherwise they'll transform your car in a race car at the expense of comfort and your wallet. PM me if you want the Porsche test driver's Rob Kussumaul settings for the GT2's and GT3's.

    I can not confirm that because I am not able to drive two cars at the sam time , but this two car are very diffrent, my personal feeling is that GT2 is faster but this may be the feeling of turbo engine. I try the GT3 with F430 spider and the GT3 was faster, I know that is hard to belive but we try two times ( only drivers, GT3 almost without gas, AC off and F430 with half tank of gas and maybe AC on)

    I can imagine the GT2 feels faster (and probably is) due to the higher torque.

    Jeees, you must do this as a job. I just saw the suspension of my GT2 spread all over the Porsche Centre floor - it looks pretty good to me - after coming from a carrera, I can't imagine spending money on this baby's innards.

    for the suspension setup of the Mk2 GT2 the 996 GT3RS suspension was used as a basis so, it is said, as a result it is much more communicative and better than the one in the Mk1...
