    What we may see is F's attempt to artificially control the market and prices being lessened in future. Much like Porsche and the big depreciation you see there currently except for a few special models.

    Just as Ferrari brass said a couple years ago there "wouldn't be a model priced below the F430 "( they simply introduced the California with a base MSRP above the current F430 , whose successor will be priced much above the Cali ) , now Luca di Montezemolo say there will not be a four door Ferrari " as long as I'm in charge " , which is very different statement than " never " , don't you think ?

    There were indications that a "dino" would be built as far back as a few years ago.

    The only thing fueling this debate are rumors.

    I just received an extensive survey from Ferrari. They asked for my comments and this is what I wrote

    " I understand the need for profit, but the introduction of the California GT alarms me. It appears that Ferrari is headed in the direction of Porsche. If that is the case, I might as well go back to Porsche since it is almost as good for a lot less money.

    BTW, did you saw provisional California price list? Add some nice options and you are at Euro 210K level in Germany with Mwst. Too much? I think so... Despite nice technical specs and very good performance specs on paper I think that California is overpriced as much as possible... Be it Ferrari or not.

    Remember, Ferrari execs ( same for Porsche, you name it ) are not the end buyer or long time collector . They just do what is best for 1) advancing their own careers and 2) doing what gives them nice incentivised year end bonuses . Selling more cars , making more money for the company is a good thing from their standpoint , so "legacy " and " resale " do fall on deaf ears because they hope to be working at a higher executive level for a BMW or Renault or even a different industry entirely at a much higher salary in a couple years

    Unfortunately that is the sad truth and explains a lot Ferrari and Porsche's actions in the last years. Even more so with Porsche but Ferrari is catching up in recent times.

    I totally agree with you...but remember the MONDIAL....sometimes they must do errors in order not to loose Enzo Ferrari's soul and filosofy
