    Where does the Maranello stand?

    I always read about the 360, F430 and you owners seem to stick with those models. What about the Maranello? ( It is the only F I get to drive once and a while) Is it too heavy to your taste? too GT ? It does well in racing , so
    Could you please share your thoughts.... To what other car would you compare it to? I am just wondering why this car is barely mentioned in this forum?

    The 575 Maranello is still the best GT currently available, although it is that old and its successor will be shown at Geneva 2006.

    Rossi is way off!;) the AM vanquish S is the best GT available! and thats bc it looks so good, any other shortcomings are forgiven!

    I doubt it, I agree with Rossi. The 575M is slightly (not by much, I agree) faster than the Vanquish S and in my opinion, it also looks better. But both cars are at the same performance level, I'd say, it is more a matter of preference of style, design and "philosophy".

    I have no doubt the F car has a better chassis and probably engine, but for me the AM does it!

    The Vanquish is very close, no doubt about it, but I still see an advantage for the Maranello. But as in case of F430/Gallardo/997tt, picking the one that suits you best is very subjective and so some may choose the Vanquish, others go with the Maranello and some will prefer the Continental GT, 612 Scaglietti, CL63AMG for example.

    And BTW if Ferrari gets the styling right, the next Maranello will be absolutely outstanding...

    I agree with you.

    To me the 575M/612 are quite close, they are both extremely fast and dynamically capable GTs (even if the 575M is more on the sport cars side), the difference is greater beetween the DB9/Vanquish for example.

    The Maranello is a great car, but I always get impressed by it's size. I find it too big to drive fast on small country roads....

    That's also the truth. Unfortunately. And what worries me even more is the fact, that the next Maranello will become even bigger...
