Re: Exceeding Ultimate Power on stock 996tt internals.

The car has been under "construction" for almost three years now if I'm not mistaken. Can't wait to see it turn some crazy numbers - I have a question though... How would the car hold up under constant WOT driving, such as the Autobahn? I know that every last thing possible to strenghten the engine has been/will be applied, but can the engine handle such power for really long periods of time?

Re: Exceeding Ultimate Power on stock 996tt internals.

Longevity should be a factor when building this car orelse its no fun

cjv, why did you decide to use NOS in your engine? With all the mechanical mods you've done which gave you so much power without the help of NOS, why did you decide to drop a NOS system in top of the all that? don't you think that NOS might bring some reliable problems in a near future?
The gearbox radiator looks great, and the info the digital gauge and module provide is absolutely vital
    now, we want more pics

We were experimenting with the NOS system. Yes, it will shorten the longevity. The system has a pill box when you choose prongs between 3000 and 8100 rpm's. One prong turns it on at that rpm and the other shuts it off. We choose 4400 and 7000 rpm's. Then there is a programmer. You set how big of a shot to add and then how much to add at what time period. We choose to start with a 10 hp shot and then to add an additional 10 hp shot every tenth of a second.

The NOS system is great for straight line acceleration. Don't even think about using it in a twisty.

As a safety issue, the NOS needs to first be activated. Then you must have the clutch fully engauged. Then you must have wide open throttle.

This 996tt have embarrassed every exotic that has choosen to pick on it.

Chad, when do you plan to install a jet engine?
Very impressive car indeed, I wish I could see and experience it live.

    RC,

Wait for the new motor that will be finished by the end of October. It will be pushing about 900 ponies to the rear tires.

chad, your car is mighty impressive. i've never seen or heard of anything like it. kudos!

but... can this car actually DRIVE?

    zzboba,

Killer is equip'ed with an adaptable boost controller. She is extremely drivable @ 1.0 bar or lower. On most tracks where I live she is operated in the 600-620 hp range as any more power is somewhat useless.

Great car and thanks for posting.

Do you have any website or forum site dedicated to the car itself?
Judging from your articles on 6speedonline and of course the time, money and involvement spent on the car I suppose you professionally preparing these cars?

One more question regarding the gearbox - is the case itself ready to handle the power? What about the chassis?

Greetings and thanks for the info in advance!

    Ferdie,

S Car Go Racing has performed most of the work followed by The Racers Group.

    Sorry, no website.

As for the gearbox case.....we'll find out soon enough.

I will be posting pics of the new motors assembly in a few weeks.

    Crash,

Above 1.1 to 1.2 bar, I doubt if it would sustain for too very long.

Re: Exceeding Ultimate Power on stock 996tt internals.

Cjv, thanks for the kind replies.

Is NOS allowed in your place - I definaely know that it wouldn't be in Germany...

So if I get it right S Car Go is your own business? If yes, I suppose you have even more insight than as a customer, don't you...?
Oh, and I didn't know that the Racers Group is also preparing cars - they seem to be similiar to Freisinger?

Re: Exceeding Ultimate Power on stock 996tt internals.

    Ferdie,

Nitrous is not legal to use on the public roads in Calif. No, I do not own or have any interest in S Car Go Racing. It is owned by a gentleman named Rob King. Information can be found at www.scargoracing.com . Yes, The Racers Group prepares street cars and more. Information on them can be found at www.theracersgroup.com .

Actually, many of my parts were obtained through Freisinger's.

Re: Exceeding Ultimate Power on stock 996tt internals.

how many "exotics" decided to mess with this beast??
