I was talking to a Porsche of North Amercia Executive, can not mention his name here. He said the way they test the P-cars in germany when doing 0-60 and 1/4 mile, they release the clutch and step on the pedal. In other words they drive in such fashion to mimick an average driver. This is why the american magazines get better numbers. American drive the car like a pro and the Germans drive like an average driver so almost anyone can drive the car and claim the same performance. I think RC can shed some light on this.
He also said the new 997TT will be a monster. He spoke highly of the 997, claiming 400,000+ miles engine life. He added the 997S off the line is very close to the 996TT. I am only repeating what he said. But I enjoyed talking to him
