    red stitching ?

Just noticed some red stitching on black leather in gallery:

    http://www.rennteam.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=639&sort=1&cat=last7&page=1

Anyone know how you spec for this?

    Re: red stitching ?

Have found red stitching on blk leather markedly improves appce of interior.....looks great on 996TTS, would seem to be even more impressive in 997S' more "stitched looking" leather interior. Haven't yet spec'd a 997S for this, but make sure you get entire interior spec'd for red stitching...in gallery photos, seems that gearshift surround and handbrake lever still has standard silver stitching. Also, if doing red stitching, may want to consider red seatbelts to really tie together red accents of interior to red brake calipers and red of P crests...

    Re: red stitching ?

At least in the US, diviating stitching has not been released as an option yet.

    Re: red stitching ?

Interesting. I wonder why they would have already released it as an option on the new Boxster but not the 997. I saw a new yellow Boxster S in the dealer with black interior and yellow stitching. Very nice!

    Re: red stitching ?

I know this red stitching from Ferrari (costs about 250 Euro there), it's very common for the "standard" German Ferrari customer who orders his F-car in red/black.
IMHO the red stitching in an all black interior may look fine and different at first glance, but after a while it looks cheap and not as high class as it should (compared to the car).

    Re: red stitching ?

Exactly what I was planning on getting for my 997S. Looks excellent! I certainly hope it is available for U.S. , as I am set to order my car this week.

Yes, I can see where you are coming from on this - it looks great on the steering wheel but maybe too fussy everywhere else.

    Thanks

Was it an '04 or '05 Boxster?

    Where was it?

    Thanks,

    Re: red stitching ?

Why order it? Because it's offered? Because would be good for Paris Hilton's car? Because the owner needs that little extra pizzazz? Well..., okay..., if someone insists, Porsche will do it. Looks like a red herrng to me, you notice it and you ask, "yeah, so what?"

    Welcome back to the 80's

All you need is a black 911, red belts and red stitching to go with your red braces (suspenders) a huge brick of a cell phone and you're all set for a trip around the City of London - champers anyone?

You must be a huge fan of speed yellow colored seat belts, center console paint and insturment dials

Those colored to paint scheme options look like a bad episode of a white guys version of "Pimp my Ride." All that stuff looks as fugly as 90's pink neon stuff. Its just awful looking tart trim for a adult sportscar.

    Speed Yellow = Slow Yellow

My dealer has a Speed Yellow 996TT Cab with black leather interior, yellow stitching on seats, dash and steering wheel, yellow center console, speed yellow sport seats backs and speed yellow belts. This is a lightly used car that the owner let go after 800 miles.

Needless to say it's sat on the floor for nearly 4 months now...but all it takes is a beautiful sunny day and one customer who really wants it...

I don't know why but on a 360 Modena or a 430 yellow stitching and embossed headreasts look flamboyant, but good. In my personal opinion the same things on a 911 just look gaudy. Character of the car maker perhaps???

    Re: red stitching ?

    I post this pic.

    It is a 997 S in black-metallic.
The instruments are painted black, also the sport chrono watch.

The interior is full-leather black with sport seats.

The red stitching looks great! A beautyfull baby.
It can be ordered by Porsche Exclusive. Ask your local dealer.

This car is on stock by my dealer!

    If i had not a GT3...

    Re: red stitching ?

    Chuck,

It was an 05 yellow Boxster S in the showroom of Porsche of Orlando. Saw it there when I visited for the debut of the 997.
