    Re: Don't be a 997 Porsche Wussy

Max Max Max if you think for one second most of the posters on this site will accept any negative comments regarding their beloved Porsche you are being naive. This is a hardcore blind loyalist group which will not tolerate anyone finding fault in Porsche. You will be attacked for having the audacity to speak out regarding your unhappiness with Porsche. I believe the problem extends beyond the car and to the company.

I say let me them spend their hardearned D-Marks or dollars fatten the wallet of Porsche executives while they drive around in their Volvo like sport car. I posted this on another site but it may not survive the censors. Read quickly.

Carlos, that is great! I am no match for you.

    Re: Don't be a 997 Porsche Wussy

    Nick,

Ok we are group of Porsche extremists but why you are posting here then? You dont have Porsche sport car, you dont want to buy one now and not in the future and you own a very nice sport car from a company I suppose (according to you) doesnt have or has less issues you described Porsche has.

So why you are posting all those posts about how bad Porsche as a company is? I dont see you being affected by Porsche sport cars in any way.

The points you are making over and over again are most really funny for us who drive Porsche sport cars every day and some of us track it too. So whats the point, Nick? Dont tell us that the reason is that your neighbor drives 911.

Nick Nick Nick, it is symptomatic of your grasp of the world around you that you are still talking about D-Marks when most of Europe including Germany adopted the Euro as currency over three years ago.

Just a minor thing, but also symptomatic of your weakness for expressing opinions on matters which you obviously barely understand (that's putting it kindly), and for not letting those opinions be muddled by such bothersome things as "facts".

"Survive the censors....."? Are you also paranoid?

I know you'll make it easy for yourself, and put this down to me being a "hardcore blind loyalist". That's so much easier than trying to analyse your own motives for your posts.

    Re: Don't be a 997 Porsche Wussy

If we're hardcore extremists, and you spend MORE time and energy on porsche material than us, what are YOU?

Those Disappointed Porsche 997 Designers and Engineers?

What's funny is that if you could be a fly on the wall during the 997 Porsche development meetings of the designers and strylists and engineers etc etc, you'd probably see there was a great deal of disagreement and infighting and stress and imperfection and compromise and screw ups all along the way. However the whole mess did finally results in _A_ car.

It's not the BEST car possible, it is the car that got thru this "committee." I'm sure some great ideas and designs literally got trashed.

If certain people or factions in that room got _their_ way there'd be a different car resulting.

My point: Because of the compromises they had to make individually I'm sure there are designers, engineers at Porsche who personally aren't completely happy with the car.

So it would be ironic, to say the least, for people outside the company to be so extremely loyal to the car which probably caused some disappoinment to the various Porsche desingners and engineers who actually worked to bring the car into existence.

I admit I am hardcore anti Porsche THE COMPANY not necessarily the product or the people who work for it.

Fritz having spent 10 days in southern Germany last Christmas (2003) I am well aware of the money designation. I use D-Marks to clearly point the finger at a Germany company which I do not believe represents the German people well. Very similar to our situation in the US and our President.

    Re: Don't be a 997 Porsche Wussy

Wow, you have much more problems than I thought. It seems that you dont get the basic idea of democracy to start with...

I also think you are the real extremist in your views. WTF is wrong with you. Porsche doesnt represent well German people? Now I start understand some of my relative comments that they will never buy German cars becaus of the holocaust...Also extremists, from another kind though...Such bs, you should be ashamed of your last post!

Perhaps you're just jealous that Ferrari management wasn't able to keep their company from being purchased by Fiat (Fix It Again Tony) while Porsche survived the recession of the early 90's and has emerged a very profitable car company and has remained independent. Interesting that you've criticized Porsche's decision to create the Cayenne while Ferrari's parent company produces cars like the Uno and Panda.

What in world are you talking about? You have lost it! How did you get to the holocaust? My god in the defense of Porcshe you have lost your mind. There is no reasoning with ardent radical kiss butt Porschephiles.

    Re: Don't be a 997 Porsche Wussy

holocaust? Lets calm down guys, no need to get things out of hand. Nick loves just this so he can use it to play victim and advocate his obsessive cause.
Imagine spending all this time in some other marque's forum you don't even like just to criticise it? sounds obsessive doesn't it?... yet to him, we are supposed to be the obsessed ones

    Re: Don't be a 997 Porsche Wussy
